VRST Men’s 7″ All-In Lined Short
Our 7″ All-In Lined Short is engineered for athletes who demand versatility. The built-in compression liner eliminates the need for separate underwear while providing targeted support during high-intensity movement.
We constructed this short with our proprietary stretch-woven fabric that moves with your body through every squat, sprint, and stride. The 7-inch inseam hits mid-thigh for optimal range of motion without riding up, making it equally suited for morning runs, gym sessions, or casual wear. Laser-cut perforations along the side panels enhance breathability where you need it most.
Built for performance

Fabric Technology & Construction
We developed the vrst men’s 7″ all-in lined short with a technical four-way stretch fabric that balances structure and flexibility. The outer shell features a tight weave that resists pilling and maintains its shape through repeated washing, while the interior compression liner uses a softer knit for next-to-skin comfort.
The fabric’s moisture-wicking finish pulls sweat away from your body during intense training. Laser-cut perforations along the side seams create targeted airflow without compromising durability. We reinforced high-stress areas like pocket openings and the waistband with double-needle stitching to ensure these shorts withstand daily wear.

Fit & Sizing Guide
The 7-inch inseam provides coverage that works across different body types and training styles. This length hits most men mid-thigh, offering freedom of movement for deep squats and sprints while maintaining a tailored appearance for everyday wear.
We recommend ordering your standard size for an athletic fit with room to move. The elastic waistband with internal drawcord allows you to customize the fit at your natural waist. If you prefer a looser fit through the thigh, consider sizing up. The compression liner fits snugly by design to provide support without restriction, similar to our other performance pieces in the men’s training collection.
Built-In Liner Benefits
Compression Support
The integrated compression liner eliminates the need for separate underwear while providing muscle support during dynamic movement. We engineered the liner with a wide elastic band that stays in place without rolling or bunching.
Streamlined Design
By building the liner directly into the short, we eliminated unnecessary layers and reduced bulk. This construction creates a cleaner silhouette and reduces the chance of chafing at seam intersections. The liner features flat-lock stitching throughout to minimize friction against your skin during extended training sessions.

Questions About the 7″ All-In Lined Short
No, the built-in compression liner is designed to replace separate underwear. The liner provides support and coverage, eliminating the need for an additional layer. Most athletes prefer wearing these shorts without underwear to reduce bulk and prevent chafing at seam intersections.
The compression liner features a wide elastic waistband and flat-lock seams that stay in place during movement. If you prefer wearing underwear for personal comfort, the shorts accommodate that choice, though it may create extra layers during high-intensity training.
The primary difference is the inseam length and resulting coverage. The 7-inch version hits mid-thigh on most men and provides maximum mobility for dynamic movements like sprints and deep squats. The 9-inch version offers two additional inches of coverage, sitting closer to the knee.
Both shorts use the same four-way stretch fabric, compression liner, and pocket configuration. Choose the 7-inch if you prefer a shorter, more athletic fit with maximum range of motion. The 9-inch works better if you want additional coverage or a more conservative length for casual wear.
Machine wash in cold water and turn the shorts inside out to protect both the outer fabric and compression liner. Use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can break down the elastic fibers in the liner and reduce moisture-wicking properties.
Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to preserve the stretch and compression. High heat can degrade elastic over time and cause the liner to lose its supportive fit. With proper care, the compression liner maintains its shape and support through hundreds of washes.
The front hand pockets work well for carrying your phone during low-intensity activities like walking or light stretching, but items may shift during running or jumping. For secure storage during high-impact training, we recommend using the zip pocket at the back waistband for keys, cards, and small essentials.
The zip pocket sits flat against your lower back and won’t bounce during movement. The front pockets feature reinforced openings and are deep enough to prevent items from falling out during most gym activities, though we designed them primarily for hand comfort rather than phone storage during intense exercise.
On men between 5’8″ and 6’2″, the 7-inch inseam typically hits mid-thigh, providing a modern athletic fit. Taller athletes may find the inseam sits slightly higher on the leg, while shorter men will experience a longer, more conservative cut.
The inseam measurement is consistent across all sizes, but the overall proportions scale with waist size. If you’re under 5’8″ and want a shorter look, consider our 5-inch training short. Athletes over 6’2″ who prefer more coverage may find the 9-inch inseam better suited to their height.
While the VRST Men’s 7″ All-In Lined Short features moisture-wicking fabric, we did not design it specifically for swimming. The shorts will perform in light water exposure like unexpected rain during a run, but chlorine and saltwater can degrade the technical fabric and compression liner over time.
The four-way stretch material will become heavy when fully saturated, and the compression liner is not designed for aquatic environments. For water-based activities, we recommend dedicated swim shorts. These training shorts excel in land-based athletics where moisture management and mobility are priorities.
We use a proprietary four-way stretch woven fabric that provides more structure than typical jersey-knit athletic shorts while maintaining superior elasticity. The tight weave resists pilling and holds its shape better than looser knits, giving the shorts a more refined appearance.
The fabric combines 88% polyester for durability and quick-drying properties with 12% spandex for stretch and recovery. We apply a moisture-wicking finish during manufacturing that pulls sweat away from skin and promotes evaporation. This construction creates shorts that perform during intense training while looking appropriate for casual wear.
